Erica just left a comment on my last post saying that she wanted to see the ring. How have I not posted about my ring yet?!

So this is a whole other story in itself...

Kevin inherited this ring from his mother and decided to pass it on to me. The ring was his great grandmothers. His great grandfather gave it to her after returning home from World War One. He bought the diamond in Africa and had it set and eventually brought it home to her.

It is special to me for so many reasons. I adore his mother and grandmother, both of which owned this ring at one time.

The band is gold and the ring has gorgeous filigree detail. It is dainty and modest which I love. It is from 1919, doesn't get more vintage than that!

When Kevin looked at the ring again he just thought it looked like me. He knew it would be perfect and that I would love it. He said he never questioned it. When I saw it for the first time I thought it looked like it was made for me. I love it and I can't wait to pass it on to a little girl someday... "crosses fingers"

Nadia!! It is amazing. And what a cool story. A little bit jealous that my Kevin didn't have a family stone...
