I am borderline obsessed with Mondo's collection from the Season 8 Finale of Project Runway. Mondo was the runner up this season, but in my mind he was the winner. I agreed with the judges critique that Gretchen's line consisted of easy, ready to wear garments. I also think that Gretchen's items would sell a little bit easier from a high end department store...
That being said Mondo's collection was one of the most impressive in Project Runway history! His ability to mix patterns is ingenious. His items were avante gard, inventive, and inspired! It was simply enjoyable to watch these pieces come down the runway with the fire and color that they did. Mondo's creativity was evident in EVERY piece! He was true to himself and he was deserving of the win! I am equally excited for his accomplished and outraged at the incorrect finale decision!
It was endearing to see how vigorously Heidi fought for him. In her eyes, he was superior to Gretchen. I am excited to follow his progress and see what he comes up with next.

I'm 100% with you. K, Todd is in love with Heidi (and her opinions). He hates Gretchen. I don't hate her, she's really talented, but I do think Mondo should have won. I felt like it was the old against the young on that decision. But who ultimately sponsors the winner? Marie Claire. So of course Nina got her way. Mondo will get fan favorite, hands down. I'm sad it's all over....
